Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a condition that
occurs in cats and dogs due to a cerebellum that does not completely
develop before birth. Symptoms can include: balance problems,
tremors, and uncoordinated movements. CH in cats is generally caused
by the feline distemper virus, which prohibits the full development
of the cerebellum.
There is no cure for CH, but cats that are
afflicted with the disease can lead full and happy lives if special
accommodations are made.
